Mission Statement

Our primary goal is to advance quantitative research on the UMD campus and in the wider Maryland community through statistical consulting on research projects. We do this through

• Free 1 1/2 hour project consulting session for campus students working on research projects
• Paid consulting at an affordable rate for on-campus and sister-campus student and faculty research projects
• Paid consulting on statistical projects for government-agency, nonprofit and commercial clients
• Collaborative consulting toward the writing of research contracts with statistical participation in study design and/or analysis
• Training of Statistical Students in the Practice of Statistical Consulting
• Outreach on campus in the form of tutorial lectures and short-courses on applied statistics
